Well well well, the Bec & Bridge runway was really something else today, hosted inside an amazing warehouse-turned-runway location.

Carriageworks was on fire this afternoon at Bec & Bridge as each model did her thing down the runway, parading stylish yet relaxed garments, making the show one of the finest we have seen at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2015.

What did we pick up from this fabulous show might you ask? Well, colours like ruby and burnt orange are the new black for starters. Well, not really. But they definitely have been claimed the colours of the season by industry rulers Bridget Yorston and Becky Cooper who were inspired by 1970’s Marrakech.

The relaxed hippy/bohemian collection comprised of the new Bec & Bridge swimwear line which was worn beneath luxurious flowy neutral garments with intricate patterns and animal prints, and paired with the always trending gladiator sandal. Some super cute bejewelled pieces even made their way onto the runway, and the worldwide phenomenom lurex would had the occasional appearance. OH and of the swimwear…my favourite made the appearance…the teeny tiny bikini! The designers somehow managed to put a beautiful sophisticated twist on it though, so I sure know what I will be snatching up ASAP. Hello 70’s glamour!

All in all, what a fabulous show! I can’t wait for these pieces to hit the shelves. For more, check out these hash tags out.
