You know what they say – beautiful women are attracted to beautiful things. So it comes as no surprise when International supermodel and Victoria’s Secret angel, Erin Heatherton makes a surprise apparance to the Manning Cartell runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Sydney. Obviously she was drawn to their extraordinarily beautiful pieces.
After a few days of Fashion Week from 9 am to 9 pm attending show after show and viewing beautiful garment after beautiful garment you sometimes start to feel the “3pm low” and lose energy. However spirits were high and energy was in full swing as the full house of guests eagerly awaited the Manning Cartell SS15/16 runway show which held the full attention of every guest from start to finish.
The offsite location was something spectacular and a fresh new look from the usual runway. It was enormous and featured long glass strips hanging from the ceiling which indicated that guests were in for something exciting. As the music commenced and the show began, the lights started to move up and down and then lit up to illuminate the white runway which was covered in sand. Before the pieces even began to appear down the runway, I was 100% focused and eagerly bouncing my legs up and down curious as to what I was about to see.
Boy did I love it. The pieces were targeted towards the fashion forward sophisticated groomed female who holds herself high and is a real Cartell girl. Not steering too far from their signature looks, it seems that designers Cheryl, Vanessa and Gabrielle were driven by what consumers are after, and the coming seasons new trends. Bold colours, exotic prints, and shiny sequins made the collection a stand out, and paired together with their usual modernised feminine and opulent cuts and structures, the new season range turned out to be a Fashion Week crowd stand out.
Manning Cartell is one of every it-girl’s go to brands. You never see something and cringe, they never fail to amaze, and you can do no wrong wearing their pieces. So it is only natural for this new collection to be as beautiful as I describe. Colours of blue, green, and orange that you would usually think to steer clear of grouping together for a collection were presented to somehow mesh perfectly, and made up a dynamite range for the coming Spring and Summer seasons.
